Hi all.

So I tried balancing my wheels with BB-s. I've put 100g of 0.4g 6mm bb-s in each wheel (modular -20 rims with 215/75/r15 kumho MT's) and tried it out. Results are... mixed.

So, at 60-80kmh I get death wobble wich is stronger than before but after a few seconds it begins to normalize and Jim drives like a dream. Until next curve or road bump. Then it starts all over.

Is this happening to others?

I guess this is good for loooong highway drives but my Jim rarely goes on the highway. And our roads are full of potholes and badly repaired potholes. So it's a NO NO for me.

I've read about puting some copper washers for preload on kingpins, but can't seem to find what thickness and dimensions are they. I have 0.2-0.4mm copper sheets so I'd make them myself. Does anyone have a kingpin shim (not necessarily copper) he could measure?

i'm not sure but 100g may not be enough weight
i was advised by a mate to put 250g per wheel for 205 80 16
but have not got round to changing my tyres but when i do i will go with 250g

Jack
