Hi all,
I've decided to trash OEM radio (the double din with the curved edges in the fascia)
I've bought a Chinese android (joying) and fitted it yesterday but there are gaps between the fascia and the HU. The HU upper part is a bit covered by the fascia upper edge. The entire thing looks a "too deep" in the dashboard:

I've read some posts here and there and it seems that I need a 178X100 adapter as my unit is like this:

I have used the original "cage" to mount the HU, do you think it's possible to adjust it to the fascia with this cage? I׳d like the HU to be lower and that the screen would be less deep.
Any thoughts/ links?

p.s: I do own a dremel but that's my last resort..

Thanks,
Assaf

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI ditched the original cage with the original radio and used the cage that came with my pioneer HU. This cage had some tin that could be bent into the edges inside the dash to fix it.

Bought a 2din frame off ebay to fill the gap. This frame is put inside the original dash fascia.
No cutting or anything required.

Could be this item or similar, i bought it a couple of years ago.

Believe it or not, FM transmission have ended in in my part of Norway, DAB only.. insane..
Rest of Norway will end transmissions during 2017.
