Hello. I used to have a lockright on my daily jimny and is awful. I had it removed because every time a steered the whole car shock as the lockright was disengaged, i also had to change my transfer box as the chain became loose. But there is a big improvement offroad. I suggest that you buy an air locker.

we've got one on ours and its fine on the road,, clunks and clangs a bit as it disengages and re engages around corners but ours is a weekend toy so we're not that bothered about noises and dont drive that fast as it rolls and sways a bit
for a daily driver you would probably be better with an air or electric locker but they are three times the price

For a daily driver save up and get an air locker, the lockright will drive you mad although they are fantastic off road.

I agree with all the comments above. However:-

In my opinion it depends how many miles you are doing. I do aprox 12-15 miles a day comuting to and from work. The lockrite can be a bit of a nightmare when turning into junctions but I have adjusted my driving style to compensate for this! For all other on road driving I find it the same as driving with a standard diff. I have driven on longer drives to the lakes etc with the lock rite and have had no problems. I cant fault it for the price and how much of a difference it makes off road!:)

I guess it depends what type of a budget you have as to what diff lock to buy. I'm considering an air locker purely so my mrs can drive the Jimny if required (as she works a lot further away).

Check this out: www.kamdiffs.com/vehicles/suzuki/

Not cheap and a lot of work involved fitting them but I'm told by some green oval owners that they are very good. I also read somewhere that they use some parts on the M.O.D landies.

Here is the middle ground between ARB and Lock rite in price.
I use this on my hybrid feroza. They have a model for the Jimny.
I intend to buy this when I buy a jimny.
