jimny 2003 autoheadlights deactivation was created by freelander
Hi, i am new to this forum and i would like to ask one thing.
How is it possible to turn off automatic headlights?
I would like to deactivate this function. Because sometimes ie need my jimny lights totally off.
Right now always if i start the car, headlights and rear lights will turn on.

i am from Estonia. I cant find any fuse, that will deactivate this. i am electrician but, without wiring diagram it is very hard to find the right place to deactivate this.

Special box for Norway with no documentation as far as i know. And if it breaks, it is almost impossible to find a new one.
due to norwegian interpretation of EU rules, lights have to be on when the car is running.

I am happy that it is possible to at least switch down to park light only. On older Suzukis 84-87.5 you cannot switch off lights at all as long as you have oil pressure. And you loose the lights if you loose the oil pressure as it is controlled by the oil lamp...

find the box that looks like it is not supposed to be there and remove. Could be you will have to put it back for MOT.

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

It is one piece of legislation I really dislike.

Do it right - use Hammerite
When the blue light is flashing I am kidding.

My box broke so i can turn it all off. Its not a fault on MOT as imported cars(at least older ones) dont have this function
