Hi, I am new here. I am very probably buying a jimny 4x4 for mixed work on and off road. I have tried to find the max nose weight for the car but only found once in some message......75 kilo? Advice please

The owner manual states 10 pc of the gross trailer weight as towed which would be a maximum of 130kg but that would be quite a lot. 75kg would be a good idea.
Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

Thanks. I have also a Duster and the spec states that if a 4x4 the max nose wt on the rear is greater than with the 2x4. This being due to the greater weight of the engine etc up front. I assumed that the max nose wt would be advised so that the front wheels are not too unweighted.

For most vehicles 50 Kg is a good target for good handling.

I use to tow a small caravan with my Jimny, the max nose weight for the tow ball is 75kg..

We must have the same taste in cars...I used to have a 4x4 Diesel Duster. The reason you can have more nose weight with the 4x4 is because it is recommended to tow I'm 4x4 mode and there will be traction with the back wheels as well as the front. In 2 wheel drive it is front wheel drive only and if the tow ball is too heavy it will make the front too light making the car lose traction.
