You'll get arround 10mm height on diffs and a bit narrower tyre. Jimny is light and doesnt really need wide tyres so.. sounds good.

Mostly pros as far as I can see! We run BFG muds in that size on a Defender 110 pickup and they are pretty good on that lumbering thing so should be great on a Jimny.

Why not go the whole hog and get a set of 7.50 r16s on ? My old 90 pickup had them and it was essentially unstoppable unless you were being stupid with it.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

I think a decent 7.50 16 would be the ultimate tyre on a Jimny, but tyre choice is now really limited in that size; either remoulds or tyres designed for heavy utility vehicles. None are particularly suited to a Jimny. 235/85r16 is supposedly the modern equivalent, but is noticeably wider. Still better than a 10.50 though...

Something like 205/100R15 would be pefrect for Jimny. Basically a 31" height (6cm+ on diff height) and still light and narrow.

Rims www.jimnybits.com/wheels-and-tyres/wheel...7-modular-wheel.html

I dont think Jimnybits sell my tyres anymore ... But they are not dis-simliar to Kingpin Highlander tread
