One guy locally here got a Suzuki Wagon R converted to a camper. He used to go down to Germany and France. he did not have a wife..

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

I just use a pop up 2 man for a single night or my large 4 man if 2 nights+ both only take up a small amount of space in the back. :)
