This is my take on the front speaker upgrade. 13.5 cm woofer in the door using hoops from the BigJimny store. Tweeters are a tight fit and require a bit of fiddling. Mounting tweeters at ear level makes a huge difference and adds real sparkle to the sound. I've got 3 way pioneers in the back. Chris.

Nice!

How are they wired in, do they just tap into the doo speaker wires?
Got a picture of the woofer?

Yes such a good upgrade I love mine, sound is so much better :)

Soeley:
Normally speaker out put form headset goes into the cross over and output to large speakers and output to tweeter its easy enough to do just need to hide cross-over, mine are mounted on the dash

Very nice! Are you using a crossover to split the signal?

Thanks Daniel, but I am lost with crossovers. Sound just comes out of speakers for me lol. I'll give it some Google time ;)

Very interesting. Admire your enthuisasm for better sound.

I find that with 3 ways front n rear, it hits the treble amazingly. Bass is punchy but not deep, even with treble at minus 3 and bass at plus 5.

Next thing on this endless list is an undr seat woofer. Nothing major, just aim to get a bit of deep bass.

Kenwood, pioneer do a decent one at around 100 quid, but i have no xonfidence in fitting it.

ICE store wants 140 to fit, as well as the need for a special cable, that apparently stops power going back to the head unit and blowing it, or so im told. ICE guy said halfords give you a cheapo cable that doesnt prevent feedback power to head unit, dont know how accurate that is though.

A lot of doe, i need to research and save some more shekels.

That doesn't sound right. It should be able to run off speaker level inputs and only need a hu switched live. The power cabe direct fused off the battery. Even if it only takes line level inputs you can get adapters from speaker level. Really though there's nothing to feed back to the hu to make it die.
