How do. I've been in Galway for about 7 months now in the middle of nowhere. Loads of fields, cows, sheep, nutters,, and miles of bog roads and bogland. I was in Manchester before that with nutters. I needed something for getting about with the dogs as me van was getting scratched. All the neighbours round here have shoguns, pajero etc and pay crazy money for all sorts of old shonkers. I remember a mate of mine telling me how much fun his Jimny was a long time ago, so I had a look and I stumbled across mine really for the right money B)
It'll probably see more bog than real roads, but what a cracking little thing it is. Probably the perfect car for this countries roads, the ride home was hilarious, I can't believe how good they are on tight twisty country back lanes. Its already earning its keep. Really pleased with it :) All I've done for now is take the back seats out and put a board down.

Maybe he thought you'd ran out of dog mess bags.

Welcome to the club and to Oyerland.

What year is your Jimny?

Its the cheapest way to heat your home, hard graft but its lovely down the bog. Everyone over here calls anything 4x4 a jeep, no matter what make it is. Mines called a Jeepny
Its a 99, is that a good year :silly:

My parents installed oil heating once the kids left home. Once the availability of child labour was removed from the equation, oil suddenly became economical. In saying that the many summer days spent working at the turf would have been much more fun if we'd used Jimny's to haul it in.

I owned a 1999, Jimny with the exact same colour and trim as yours. I loved it. Reliable and easy to service. I never took it to a mechanic for servicing or any of the few repairs it needed in the 4 years I owned it. I fitted a 2 inch lift, good tyres and a compressor under the bonnet for airing the tyres up after a play.

Have you had yours out on to any beaches on the west coast?

Cheers

Mines only seen bog and bog roads up to now with me. Their a bit rough in places and its been dead handy. No way would a normal car go where this can. Whoever owned it before me used to do a fair bit of camping judging by the amount of tent pegs I found when I took the back seats out so I reckon it's been used as it should have been.
