My dipstick was cracked where the hole is, apparently it's a common thing but luckily the site store has them in now as I didn't want to pay £30-40 just for a dipstick.

Today's job was to change the front and rear axle oil. It's a job that often gets neglected. I knew the drain and filler plugs have had it so got these ready from bigjimny. I gave them a quick buff under the wheel and they look bling. I know it's a bit ocd but I want to be able to change all the oils each time I do the engine oil. I used some new copper washers for the filler plugs and blue loctite for the drain plug.

Well of course the filler plugs weren't coming out easily, good job I removed them first. So I dug out and used this heat gun for only 2mins on each drain plug and then they came off straight away Saving me a lot of hassle.

The oil was quite cloudy at the rear but fine at the front I used the correct api gl-5 80/90 and api-gl 4 75/90 in gearbox. The magnetic plug did catch a lot of swarf and gunk

Thanks Daniel30, yes it comes on a few of the threads with some blue ptfe looking substance, as my drain plugs came out without me having to use heat or much effort I just reused them with fresh loctite and il keep the drain plug as a spare. Because they are tapered some people say they seal fine even without thread sealant but better to be safe than sorry.

The copper washers are 24x2mm I believe but I'll have to check, kirkynut advised me to get them off a reliable ebay seller.

This is my first venture into dash cams so I went for the cheapest and smallest Halfords had and im quite impressed. All the wiring is neatly tucked away in the roof lining, door pillar trim and under the dash. I also picked up a double 12volt adaptor for a pound at the local car boot so I can run the satnav too.

I took a gamble on these daniel they are universal but the top can be trimmed/shaped around kick panels. I get so much mud and grass in the car it will make life easier to keep clean.

The dimensions of the front Mats are 70cm x 50cm I will post a picture up when they are in to see if they are worth having. They are £19.99 off ebay.

These are the ones Smoggy they have a lip around them to catch the muck. I haven't recieved them yet but I'm sure they will fit. Much cheaper than suzukis rubber mat...cheaper by about £50
