Here's the finished item lads. I'm pretty happy.

finished ... sort of.

Turns out I've never noticed that VVT Jim doesn't have brake or tail lights in the bumper. Luckily the wiring harness from the car still retains the tail light wiring. Will have to patch into the brake lights somewhere though.

Thought I'd add some Zuke history here as well. I'm now on my 5th Zuke, my first couple were short term and the others long term. All have been my daily at the time.

#1 - My first Zuke, a 1985 1.3 JX NT Sierra, bought in '87. Had 42,000km when I bought it and 100,000km 12 months later when I traded it on #2. Only mods it ever got were some bald 30s, stereo, CB, header and exhaust, and a TJM alloy bar.

#2 - 1985 Holden Drover LWB tray back, bought in '88. Had 15,000km and was like new. Swapped the 16" bar treads for stock NT rims and tyres. Only mod was a cover over the tray.

#3 - 1989 WT Sierra, bought in '92 with 15,000km and owned by a little old lady since new. Drove this one till their was too much rust to bother fixing it. Sold it in 2001 with 220,000km and mechanicals that had been and still were, trouble free. Mods varied over the years and same can be said for the overall look of the we beastie.

#4 - 2000/2001 Jimny, first of the M series. Bought it new and sold it in 2011 with 150,000km. Featured in issue 30 of the 4WD Action Custom Guide over 9 pages :)

#5 - My current VVT Jimny

In total I've now done over 500,000km in Suzukis during the last 25 years, not allowing for bigger tyres, and enjoyed every minute of it. SUZUKI ... Way of life!

Ive been busy making a centre console lately. Pen holders, DVD remote velcro'd to the carpet, LED torch clip

12v socket

2 way press/release switch for the volt tester

Bought some new rubber. 30x9.5r15 BFG KM2

Took them for a test run of camping on the beach

Finally installed a DVD player, 7" touch screen

Haha, no. Just the base of the console to stop the smaller drinks falling all the way through. Camera flash makes it look pretty ugly.

One of our favourite camping spots, and only two hours from home

Only a photo can truly describe that camping location ;)

It's just a stock early Jimny front bumper and I cut it down with an electric Jig saw.
