Have just installed a 16 baleno on my jimny but is not starting and firing what should I check first ?

Double check that all the electrical connectors and earth points are correctly installed and making contact. After that it could be a number of things so it's best to systematically check the fuel system, ignition system and inlet and exhaust system. Its a matter of being methodical.
