Re:2019 DAB radio - missing stations

Hi All, Our Gen4 picks up very limited DAB stations in comparison to our other vehicle.

Has anyone else experienced this? or do we have a dud...

Mine's OK, works about the same as the wife's pug

As per Bill really... mine seems to pickup everything that I've looked for... so far anyway

Difficult to say if any stations are missing without comparing to a full list of what should be available

Perhaps if you listed some stations that you think are missing then some of us could check to see if we can find them on ours?

And that’s it, in our VW for instance we’re getting r1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, rockfm, and so on (& on)

May I suggest facing the vehicle in a different direction, re-booting the infotainment panel and see what it finds.
The Antenna is slightly directional my the nature of its mounting position.
Other advice will follow from those who have solved the problem.

Only listen to Radio X on DAB
The POLO looses signal a lot of the time compared to the Jimny. In fact the Jimny has a better DAB connection than my old FL2 14 plate with the fancy sound system. Its all in there you just have to work it out.

How do I re-boot an sz4 radio? Couldn’t see ref to that in the manual.

I have not done this for an SZ4 only an SZ5, see:
1. Place key in Ignition switch.
2. Turn key to Accy, and watch the Infotainment Panel re-boot until the big "S" logo has gone.
From there it's just use the radio controls as normal. All this can be done in Accessory, without the motor running.
