Does anyone know for sure what is the torque distribution in 4x4 mode in a gen3 Jimny? 50% rear and 50% front?
I'm wondering if a Jimny equipped with full float rear axles and manual hubs on the rear as well can be driven safely in 2H or 2L front wheel drive without causing too much strain on the transfer box?

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

As there is no centre diff ,simply a locking mechanism the drive is 50:50. It is entirely possible to drive in front wheel drive az many have done in an emergency by removing the rear prop shaft but the rear axle is stronger in real terms for prolonged use.

An open diff splits torque 50:50. Because there is no centre diff, the transfer case can send up to 100% of the torque to the front axle or 100% to the rear axle so I'd call that 100:100
Yes you can drive in fwd with drive to the rear wheels disconnected without problems. The transfer box will cope with this fine.
