M13A - M16A was created by spj907
Hi, I'm going to swap the M13A engine in my 2000 jimny for the M16A found in the Liana, both non VTT. There are a few around, but the Question is how can you tell the vvt from the non vvt? Is it true ALL the lianas had non vvt engines? I believe i read that somewhere. Pictures showing the difference would be great but a bit of an ask!?!?

Vvt engines have a pronounced step/bulge in the front of the rocker cover on the left side as viewed from the front of the car. None vvt is smooth across.

Brilliant, just what i needed to know. I've checked out a few pictures on line and can see the difference, thanks Lambert.
I could be back for a bit more help when i start this, but looking through some of the other posts on this subject it looks fairly straightforward....time will tell!

Where are you based? I've got an M16A with only 27k on it that I bought last summer off a forum member. I'm looking to sell my Jimny so its not likely to get used, if you're willing to collect its yours for £200. I've even got the gaskets you'll need and a new filter as well as a liana intake.
