Hi guys going to purchase the free wheel hub spacer kit and get some Vitara manual hubs. What size bolts are in the kit, I think M8 x 30 fine ? Just wanted confirmation don’t want silver bolts so going to get some black ones. ta

Why not just get proper Jimny hubs from avm? No need to use spacers and you get more engagement of the drive splines on the stub shaft.

I have cheap 100 quid ones sprayed them black
Also done some pretty extreme driving 2 years in and still work fine

Cheers Jack I haven’t actually come across any bad reviews of any regarding price. Took on board what you said before. What did you spray with just can spray ?

Yes just a light dusting of primer then some cheap black from pound land

Haha my wheels have not long been sandblasted and painted that’s why I wanted black thought it would look better. I wasn’t sure about painting due to the moving parts did you strip it or literally paint the hub as one part

Just un boxed them removed the cheap looking 4x4 sticker
dropped them on some wood and sprayed em
once fitted used a small amount of copper slip grease on the torx bolts
then filled the heads over with blue water proof grease
to help stop water ingress
the torx bolts are only M4 so not very strong
Had them on and off a few times in the last 2 years no problem

M4 ? These the bolts that connect to the main body of vehicle ? Do you remember length, any pics?

On avm style hubs the locking part is separate and held on with 6 m4 tapered head screws that are quite delicate looking. The actual hubs are held by m8 screws.

Ish from memory. Mine are cap head but regular hex works too.
