HI,
few months ago i replaced the whole set on both sides on the rear axle,
oil seal, bearing, and ABS ring.
now i noticed two weeks ago that the left side is leaking again, and today i saw that the right side is also started even bigger leak.
for the parts i used SKF kit. its been barley 2000 KM since i changed everything. what can be the reason for that? and what i should do?
Thanks.

My first thought was, Is the axle case bent?

It's been fettled just a tad.

Hi Mlines,
this jimny is most of the time offroading. it has 215 tires and lockright locker.
the whole set was replaced both sides 6 month ago..

To be honest, 6 months out of a set of bearings on an off-roaded Jimny is probably about average.

The rear bearing design on a Jimny is poor, with the bearing face basically exposed. When you replace them you are supposed to put sealant around the face to try and assist with the sealing but it is not particularly effective.

A bent axle case or bent half shaft is quite likely, its not a visible bend but one that has to be measured.

well to be honest i didnt put the sealant after the change, because i was scared i will open the wheel again.
the last bearings was the originals i think.. and they was ok for 2 years of heavy ofroad + 6 years of regular use..
the SKF bearings really that trash ? it doesn't make any sense to replace the whole set twice a year :\
how can i measure if the case is bent ?
