M16A motor from Suzuki Vitara 2015+ was created by thordur9
Hello from Iceland.

I am wondering, the new forth gen vitara has an M16A motor, rated at 120HP and 156NM torque.

Does any of you know if this motor is swappable like other M16A motor?. This is an intresting choice in the Jimny if it can be swapped.

Best regards, Thordur

Can`t confirm it 100%, but it`s a big chance it has the new style crank cog wheel and new style head, as i know the M16 in Swift sport got in approx 2011 and on. Not easy swappable like older vvt motors.

As Olga says....you may have to swap the trigger wheel......by removing the crank and fitting the earlier one....mine has separate COP cam cover which also would need swapping.

It seems no one tried +2015 engine. I keep looking for information about that.
Thanks!
