Recently got a 2005 jimny with the newer type dash should there be a green light on the dash when they are on dipped?

There is no dip beam indicator on the Jimny, just the full beam (blue) one

There is no green light on the dash. just a glow around the dials and a audible warning sound if you leave your lights on
