Procomp are difficult to fit as standard, they are too fat and rub. They are also too firm, even the 1000 are more firm than standard

jimnybits sell them in standard length es1000 if you do go this route
then i would advise getting these bushes for top mounts
www.bits4vits.co.uk/store/jimny-rear-top...ber-poly-bushes.html
or you will have to trim the shock bush as they're to fat to fit
ES1000 don't appear available at jimnybits

I have the Es1000 and they fitted without rubbing. Def agree about them being over damped though. Only time they work ok is when I am loaded to the point of the rear springs starting to sag. :(

They look like Astra shocks with stickers stuck to them and a large price hike.

It's been fettled just a tad.

For heavier loads you need stiffer springs, not necessarily firmer shocks. Try fitting front springs on the rear. They give a small lift and firm things up a bit without making it ride like crap. They are a direct fit but you will need to cut 3/4 of a coil off the NS spring to correct the Jimny lean.
