Front Fog Lights was created by Michael01474
My brother-in-law has an 03 plate Jimny that he desperately wants to fit front fog lights to.

He's finding it to get hold of some OEM spotlights so I was hoping someone here may have some advice on which aftermarket one's would do the job.

I've not had a chance to have a look to see if any of the wiring is in place but any info/help, including with fitting would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

Michael

Actually, if they'll fit an 03 I'll take them. I think my BIL nearly passed out when I said I'd found some genuine one's. How do we proceed from here?

Thanks

As far as I know, the fog lamps themselves and the wiring should be the same for any Jimny (1998-2017).

It's the fog lamp brackets (mounts behind the front bumper) which differ according to front bumper generation.

So, just obtain the fog lamps together with the wiring and the brackets from a Jimny which has/had the same bumper model as yours.

Ok, so I now have a set of OEM fog lights thanks to James. The engine bay wiring seems pretty simple but I need a bit of help with the switch wiring. I understand where the pink wire with the bullet connector needs to plug in but what do the blue, brown and black wires connect to. Any help appreciated.

My 2005 jimny had all the wiring needed, i found the connectors behind the headlights. Only needed the metal brackets inside front bumper and the switch and of course the lamps. i bought the cheapest lamps i could find on ebay and they are really bad. horrible.
Brackets bought from the Suzuki dealer, original. Not too expensive.

Take the live off the headlight so the fog's only come on when headlights are on. Run it through a fuse and a relay and run negative to earthing point on the body behind battery. Connect the switch to the relay.

Type wiring fog lights into Google and you'll find some diagrams.

Ok. In mine the blue and the brown from the switch go to the red with a yellow stripe. The black is earthed. The bullet goes to the female bullet hanging out of the fire wall grommet on the inside.
