Confused which engine I have.. was created by Young Pretender
I thought I had an M13A engine but read something on here recently that these were 1328cc. Mine is registered as follows:

Reg date: 20 Nov 2000
Engine size: 1298cc
Engine number: M13A - *********
Model: Jimny JLX

The rocker cover plate specifies DOHC 16v, which suggests MI3a (as does the engine number) but it's the engine size that is confusing me - can anyone shed any light on this please. Is it an M13A?

Trying to work out whether I'm belt or chain driven. I have two drive belts but no sign of a cambelt externally (would it be visible?)

M13A non-VVT version if I'm not wrong... but I just wonder - isn't it high time to replace a gasket under the cover? It looks quite "sweaty"... Or is it normal in a Jimny?
