Much cheaper to just replace the standard bulbs with Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited.
110% brighter than standard for around £15. :)
I have them fitted in all my cars and its a great improvement over standard.
With the Jimny having such a large reflector the improvement is very good. :)

Probably best with the Osram bulbs, but I thought that this was an interesting headlight upgrade/change.

From a distance, people might think I've got an M3 BMW, with a couple of lights missing, maybe...

2" Trailmaster suspension lift, 2"body lift, snorkel, full breather kit, 29" steel wheels with BFG tyres, tinted rear windows, CRT CB radio with modulator antenna mounted on rear, dog cage and tray in the back.

Why on Earth would you want people to think, even for a fraction of a second, that you drive a BMW?

I think a couple of hours self-flagellation to get those sort of ideas out of your head

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

haha, they'd get a pleasant surprise as I'd not be able to tailgate them.

It would really confuse them when you use the indicators

I have upgraded other cars to Osram bulbs, & HID & LED bulbs. No comparison, HID is still best high beam!!. LED is great for low beam, for brightness and spread. Std bulbs are just rubbish in comparison.
Replacement headlights with projectors fitted to my Astra, are rubbish as standard. Upgrade bulbs to HID for hi, LED for low, improved it dramatically. But actual headlamps are crap as standard.
Won't spend the $$$$$ on projector headlamps for Jimny, unless someone can tell me they are bloody wonderful!!

Osram Nightbreakers work well in the standard Jimny headlamps, much cheaper than HID and in my Gen3 Nightbreakers give good light in both main and dip certainly good enough for the speed of the vehicle.
