Replied by Fossie on topic Old Jimmy to a new one......
DB , hey this what projects are all about ..we have replica Lotus 7 , some weird Nissan micra made to look like Jaguars MK 2 and of course the car manufacturers all replicate their best sellers Fiat 500 etc , to appeal to a certain demographic.
The motorcycle world repeats itself every 25 years ...
So you are obviously not alone in your tastes ...however costs usually out number the original and without people knocking out replica parts you'd have make your own , this always costs time ....granted after first one people will join in and a market will open up .. Are you that trail blazer ?

My advice would be buy a Jimny any mk and start driving it and playing in it. Buy some sockets and spanners a trolly jack and a boiler suit. Learn here how to do simple jobs, oil change, basic service stuff, and become a capable 4x4 person. New ones are lovely and smart but the affordable ones are good too and will get you going and make you fearless around doing modifications yourself. Get stuck in and enjoy.

Heavy Duty Transfer Box Brackets, 2-inch Black Raptor lift kit, caster adjusters, Rust removed and stich welded new sections. Galvanised Chassis. Body,Engine, transmission swap. Anti Rollbar Roll / Sway Bar / DAVES ARB disconnect kit.Osram Night Breaker Head light mod and white 501 led side lights.
