Seat bases , did they change over the years and are they handed

Thinking ahead I want to get my front seats recovered at some time, it's a 2009 GEN3.
The passenger seat base has seen less butt action than the driver's, as such it feels "new" when you sit on it, the driver's is just softer (worn).
This got me thinking.
Can you take a passenger seat base, the foam bit, not the mechanism, and fit this to the driver's seat?
If they are not handed I can use a secondhand passenger seat to refoam the driver's before it is recovered, improving the feel for many years.
A second related question;
Did they change the seats over the years or just the covers they fitted?

Anyone got a passenger seat for a 2009 going cheap?

ThanksMike

I've done it on earlier models (02-03) and I doubt much has changed. The frames are handed but the cushions themselves are easily swapped.
