Hi Roy,
The only oil in the front Hub is coming from the axle itself, usually an indication that the kingpin bearings have failed or are failing.
If you can jack the car wheel up and feel for play, if you can feel movement thats the cause and is an MOT fail itself. If you cant feel movement clean the oil off and send it for a test, its likely to pass so long as its not dripping oil.
Its an oil seal on the drive shaft, you are looking at approx  2 hrs to change if you DIY, but its likely you will also need Kingpin bearings if they have never been done.
Have a look on Youtube, Matins video shows how to change kingpin bearing and you see the seal in this.

All parts avaiable from the Big Jimny Shop above, dont get the seals from anyone else (Ebay etc) ^^^^
