Replied by GeorgeC on topic Possibly buying a jimny tomorrow.

Roger Fairclough wrote: I just asked Viv the basic question, "which is quieter, the Audi Q3 or the Jimny". She thought for a few seconds and then said, "probably the Audi but there is very little in it". Then I substituted the LandCruiser for the Jimny and she laughed and said straight away "no comparison, the Audi is a lot quieter".Roger

Roger, for me the C30 is much quieter, faster, more comfortable, reliable, where do I stop..... cheers, George

Ok George, I'll give you all of those points except the last, because you haven't covered enough ground to prove it,

But,

which would you choose to drive the Canning Road?

Gotcha

Roger

My missus had the choice between the Jimny, Volvo XC40, VW T-Roc, Audi A1, or used Evoque after we test drove them.

All the above are superior to the Jimny in terms of refinement, performance, ride quality, handling, interiors etc

She chose the Jimny. And to be honest so did l. The Jimny has character, looks different and is fun to drive. The others were fully competent for sure, and capable, but dull and forgettable.

Oh and the Jimny is likely to retain more value, apart from the Volvo which also seems
to retain its value really well.
