Then the Jimny would be almost unstoppable!
l fitted winter tyres to my van, and the difference was incredible.
Where car driver's wheels were spinning uselessly in hills in the snow and ice, my van rolled straight past without even any wheel spin.
Transit Connect (2wd, obviously)
I'm thinking seriously about what to replace the OEM tyres with - once I've worn them out!
l've wondered about some SZ4 steel wheels with winter tyres, anybody know the price of a Jimny SZ4 steel wheel?

The jimny is behaving quite well, as expected, if not for the stock tyres, which feel quite letal even in the wet.
I quite enjoy flicking to 4wd on the go if the need arises (always usig the clutch fro peace of mind)...it always adds up to the "adventurous" experience
Always a pleasure to hear from someone outside the UK - I''ve ridden a motorcycle (in Summer) through Northern Italy and up into Switzerland - would like to take the JImny over the Alpine passes in the snow (once the plague is under control).

All of that is a very long way of saying that a Jimny is not a vw with a built in timer counting up to engineered obsolescence nor is it a land rover that is so badly built its a lottery if it will make it out of warranty.
Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.
ADOS Attention Deficit Ooooh Shiny!

Thanks, it's the same for me, really, as I appreciate you Brits for your inclination to tinker with your own cars, which is becoming a rare thing over here.Bob1050 wrote:

If you ever decide to make it with the jimny, remember to check that the alpine passes are open, as in late autumn, winter and early spring it's easy to find them closed due to excessive snow or the risk of avalanches
