I have run 225/75/16 on GV rims 235 will fit fine
I have +2" suspension and a 1" body lift
Only place they have rubbed is chassis front body mount brackets
Tried 205/80/16 special tracks even though they stand same height as 225 75
These made contact with the front panel under the headlights due to tread lugs

I also have +3" arms all round these make my wheel base 25mm longer than standard

So i would think you'll get rubbing somewhere with 235/70/16
If you choose retreaded tyres they will definitely catch/rub

What tyres do you have in mind ?

Jack

was thinking insa turbo ranger, but thinking now maybe too wide and maybe too tall...... might stick to 215 75 on the OE 15" rims ?

You go as big as you want!

You just need an angle grinder and a BFH (Big F***ing Hammer)!

They said you couldn't put 35"s on a Vitara!...
