Hi, does anyone know what is behind the top of the firewall? Wanting to remove the weather strip and drill some holes, will I catch any wires / pipes? Looking just between aircon pipes and the black motor.

Thanks,

Thats the scuttle panel area where the wiper arm linkage is. The black motor is the wiper motor. Its easy enough to pop the scuttle panel off to see (remove wipers and plastic fixings, lift up). Holes need to be sealed into that area as the water collected on the windscreen drains down into there.

Lower down (aircon pipe level) will get you into the cabin (if thats the aim). Remove the glovebox and have a look for the aircon pipes to see where you could drill. The ECU wiring comes in behind the ABS pump so be careful of that. I think theres a load of plastic stuff for the heater/fans to be careful of too.

Sounds busy round there! It is the small thin rubber strip I am looking to remove a section of, and drill down (wanting to screw a bracket on (all may become clear at a later date if it goes to plan!).

2nd quick question - where is the wiper fuse, and does it affect anything else?

By your right knee there is a panel held in place by 2 screws. Unscrew them and remove the panel by unclipping it. In your original handbook that comes with the car is a diagram with which fuse does what.
