I have exactly the same thing , a wire from the positive connection with a 15 amp fuse fitted in that connector. The wire then runs along the loom alongside the fog light part of the loom into the mass around the vacuum connector ....though I think this is just where it was secured .......don't know what it's for but my fog lights don't work but the bulbs have continuity , but no voltage at the bulb end of the loom.

Funny you should say that, my fog lights also do not work. I still have the problem of it not starting and a code reader cannot link to the ecu. Gonna have to send it away to get tested..........let's hope

Hi again, is there an interior fuse box on a 2003 Jimny, if so where is it?

In reference to this red aftermarket wire.....the fog light thing is a red herring I logically believe , it makes more sense to be a feed for an aftermarket radio, which would require a live feed for date / time display...15a is a touch overkill though......I say this because mind has a Kenwood jobbie fitted that updates the time date by a calander, so would need a low drain feed .

Yes there is Roger but you can only see it properly if you drop down the panel under the steering column shroud and lie half out of the car!

Hi Gaz, Many thanks for that.
Do you know if any of those fuses supply power to the ecu?

Hi Roger, if I'm reading it correctly (and don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong please!) it looks like the ECU is fed from the ignition coil 'Meter' which is Fuse 18.See the diags...
