I've asked the same question when I installed mine. Its an optional one for the rear incase you don't want the large panel of LED's. A Japanese man told me so it must be true.

@Grima Do you have an SZ5 and did the rear interior light come as standard? I have an SZ4 and don't have a rear one, I'd like to fit one if possible, especially as I'm having tints at the rear in March.

Thanks Octane, a baby spare bulb & all for under £12.
GeezerDan I originally wanted an SZ4 but was offered an SZ5 & took it. That's why I looked at upgrades for the SZ4 in the limbo months. Even on the Suzuki speck booklet it doesn't mention the SZ4 not having a rear interior light !!! Bet the wiring is there, like for rear speakers just pull the lining down & have a peek.

Thanks for that Martin, do you know if all the wiring is there as Grima mentioned?

The only real way is to look I am afraid. There is a different roof harness listed for manual and auto Aircon, which hopefully is for the auto sensor but as the SZ4 and SZ5 differ by the Aircon it may mean that connector is missing

If its a no go on the rear light with the SZ4. For less than £12 just do the front as it is overkill bright so will light up the rear a lot more than the original bulb.

Yeah that would be the plan for now if the wiring isn't there. The indentation for a light is there, so I'll take a look when I get a chance.
