This site can give you an idea, the SZ5 appears in 2019 and shows 702 manual upto Q3 and 204 auto. Not sure how up-to-date it is.

Wow, that is very interesting!! Ok, so im guessing the SORN vehicles have been mothballed for prestige/investment collections??

Edit: i wonder if theres a way to tell from the vehicles VIN number or summit, what number your car is out of those made so far.

Mmmhhhhhhh!!!

I'd guess most of the sorn ones are being used on large work sites, private estates/farms, quarries, forestry etc where they don't get used on public roads.

It seems to be very location dependent, round here there's now about 15 different gen4 and well over 40 different gen3 yet in other rural areas there's none to be seen.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

You're lucky, even with all the candidates for a return wave I have probably had 3. In total.

That is a very interesting website.

If I read it correctly 2005 had the most Jimnys (GLX) Taxed/SORN in the UK at 13,977 and as off 2018 there is now 5,983 taxed and 3,103 on SORN, combined a little over 8,000, still a lot but off their peak.

I had a Defender wave at me today, caught me totally by surprise I didn't get chance to wave back.
