I have a 2007 Jimny and planning on a 3" lift. Does anyone here know the max possible length (compressed and extended) of a shock that can be fitted with a 3" lift spring without dislocating it?

Thank you.

My Jimny is a 51 plate -assuming the mounts have not changed ; I've just lowered my truck on 3" springs (was higher!) and have +4" shocks which dislocate springs significantly - which is what I wanted for my application.

From that I would suggest the most you could do would be +2.

I can have a measure next time I'm under there for a max length eye to eye - but depends on where you term dislocate - from when they leave the spring pad, or from when they leave the locating tube?.
