You can repair most anything but it will have to come off the car, if you're taking it off, it would be very quick to fit a replacement secondhand axle complete.

Cost wise is a guess for repair but you won't have any surprises with a good replacement unit and you can service it on a bench before you fit it.

James Priestley ( j999pre on the forum) should be able to help with supply, he might even build one with new bearings if you ask him nice......

It depends on how bent the axle is as to whether it is economical to repair. Even if it is repaired unless you brace it then it will fail again and even thereafter it'll always be a concern. How did you bend it?

Ah. Is the rest of the chassis and mount points straight, it's just if it has been hit hard enough to bend the axle there's a high chance of further damage.

In order to effectively repair it you will need to strip it down to just the actual axle tube and then have a suitable press or jig to be able to pull it straight as required. It will then really need to be crack or stress tested and relieved and or rewelded as necessary and then like I said earlier it would be better to weld on some of the premade truss brackets to give it a bit more support. Or like sniper said, get a replacement either new or good second hand.

Repair is always possible but very much, not, always the right way to go.

If it were mine at such low mileage, I would replace with a refurbed unit. One I knew was straight and as good as new.

Until your axle is off and stripped, you can't really cost the repair, you don't know what you will find till then.

I have seen fully rebuilt axles at around £850 fitted, it cost me £200 labour just to rebuild my diff, so that price seems not too far off the mark to me.
