It's Accessory mad Andy here. Actually, this is a must, and will even drop the insurance cost, so any hard wired recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

No AGE jokes please. Thanking you kindly! :)

Nextbase are pretty good, and Halfords have 20% off the range at the moment.

Halfords has a good price on a decent unit, front and rear - Blackvue DR750S-2CH . It sint cheap, but it has some great features:

Park mode - activates when a significant event occurs, or a bump is detected even when engine off and away from car.
WIFI/Cloud mode - Allows the i-phone to view the cameras anytime and from anywhere on the mobile.
Alerts - Tells you when something has occurred, both via mobile and when starting the car.

Only thing i worry about, is the Halfords fitting staff. And also the fact that the Jimny is a new model, and they will have no idea of the routing for wires etc.

Mmmmhhhh ...... Not sure.

As a former halfords senior fitting tech their education team were very good and able to advise on everything including high end exotics. What they are like now I have no idea.

I transplanted a Nextbase 412GW from my old car into the Jimny, easy to fit and works well. Only challenge with hardwiring was finding a decent earth and the fact that it uses low profile mini fuses, so needed to buy a couple of piggyback fuseholders from Amazon.

On the topic of Halfords, i thought i'd stop by on my way home.

I was pleasantly surprised by the young chap in there. He was super knowledgeable and gave a good account of his work.

I'm happy to let them do it, but only with me over there shoulder watching. Their gonna love me ;-)

Just "George" It.;)

I'm with you Andy. George is far easier to use.
