This may have been posted in another thread that I missed. 2 new Suzuki Jimny concepts are going to be shown at this auto show starting the 11th of this month if anyone wants to follow it.

Apologize if this has already been shown elsewhere.

Zukebob I haven't seen these elsewhere here so I'm pretty certain this is new info.
Have you heard/seen any suggestions of a futuire open-topped variant?

Sorry to say Max that the only open-top version I have seen so far was from a fan that is a talented user of Photoshop.

Heheh - yes I think I've seen that and did think at the time that it might be an unofficial 'artists impression' .
I'd like to think a rag-top might be in the pipeline somewhere down the line, but based on the last open-topped variant I would also hope a lot more more thought is put into its design and function, not to mention quality of materials.
I love my convertible but its a huge PIA in terms of practicality.

Max - I saw a picture on Instagram of an Italian 2019 Jimny with a large area cut out of the roof and replaced with a removable canvas cover. I think it was done by the actual Suzuki dealer, but I'm struggling to find the picture again.

Blimey!
To do that to a new vehicle - someone must be über-keen on open air motoring!
If a seriously BIG sunroof such as you describe was made available I could probably live with that to be honest
