I also do about 3000 to 4000 but I don't use it for work.

Well, I bought it in December. Have so far covered 10.5k miles. So about ~14k a year all in.
With a set of comfy Recaros the Jimny isn't an awful little mile muncher.

I did 15,000 miles a year for the first few years I had a Jimny but only do about 6,000 nowadays. Over the years I've spent very little time working on my Jimnys. That's one of the things I like about them. They are inherently reliable, and when things do wear out they are quick and easy to remedy.

Thats why a year ago I sold my modern TDI VW Polo and swapped to a Jimny. The Polo was inherently unreliable, part of the emissions scandal, and every time it when wrong you needed special tool Xxxxx in order to fix it or the dealer. Apart from rust (now sorted, but hope Suzuki do better on the new one) its been 100% reliable so far. Only mode of transport, we cover approx 8000 miles a year.
Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

Clearly it is not going to be something we'll know about for some time but if and when I bought a new one I would have it professionally treated or at least do it myself.
My experience with regard to my Celerio is that Suzuki have gotten worse. As far as body paint and protection goes - where it matters (like engine bay and underneath) , not where it shows - it is disgraceful.Scimike wrote: hope Suzuki do better on the new one
