Hi all,

The death wobble on my jimny was so bad that it eventually shook the rear silencer off so I will be sorting that out once I've cured the wobble. The KAP silencer looks good but is expensive. Has anyone put a cherry bomb on theirs? If so, how loud are they? I can't weld myself, but know someone who can, so if anyone has any other recommendations I'd be grateful. I don't want anything too loud, but wouldn't mind something a bit more beefy. At the moment without my the backbox I think it's a bit too loud.

Gary

It will not be any quieter with a cherry bomb on it.

It's been fettled just a tad.

What makes the KAP silencer "performance" (their advert words) if you just fit this to the remaining standard system? It makes no claim to be fully stainless steel other than the tail pipe, so offers little more than the £50ish standard steel items you can get. Not sure its worth it at £150 so price alone would remove this from my options. At this money level it may be possible to get a "one off" back box made out of stainless steel, worth asking for a quote or two?
The people that make these exhaust systems can give you some idea of the noise it will make.
Of course just my humble opinion, if you like the KAP box go for it..

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

A cherry bomb is raspy like a riced Honda civic, the hornet versions are a lot deeper.
I tried a hornet bomb for a day, done my head in, aweful. And couldn't get up to speed either.
Customs the way to go mate if your keen, I was over it in less than a day and stuck stock box back on. Tyre noise is enough.
