Replacement radio was created by 1066Boy
My original fitted radio in Jim bob is on the way out. Mine is a 2005 so its the large double din type.
Can I replace it with any double din unit? are they all the same size? Not looking for anything flash
so a cheap one will probly be going in. :) Also how easy is it to get the old one out?

Jimny JLX Facelift model 2005.

2" lift with Procomp Es1000 shocks.
Diff and transfer box guards from Jimnybits.

Yes a standard double din radio will fit. However, it will leave a gap around the radio where the original radio had slightly curved edges, there are cheap trim panels on eBay to tidy this up

Thanks for that Martin. 2 more questions, I find listed sizes from 6.2" to 7" what do I need?
Also do I need to change the wiring or is it just a plug swap? Thanks Allan.

The size depends on the radio you get.

I bought a loom adaptor, again they are on eBay, get a xxx to Suzuki one depending on your radio

You can get a decent look for approx £5 on eBay, you could go two ways with the radio you can either go down your local scrap yard and pick a double din radio for around £20ish just depends on quality you want or go on eBay or down your local car shop and get a double converter which will enable you to fit a standard radio and normally a cubby hole space under it
