Official Suzuki Jimny documentation & manuals

I took a lot of time and effort to investigate and compile information about names of official Suzuki's manuals and documentation for various technical revisions and editions of Jimnys.

Since I have a rare factory diesel Jimny, I had to do my own research as information about them is scarce on the Internet forums.

Based on all the knowledge which I gathered, I wrote a wiki page which lists and explains official Suzuki's documentation for various Jimny revisions and editions.

Here it is:
Official Suzuki documentation for various Jimny types

I double-checked every VIN number and every manual name which is written there.

However, I am missing a lot of information. It would be beneficial if someone could help find the missing data.

The two most important missing parts are the following:

  1. Names of service manuals and wiring manuals for all Jimny types (revisions) made after year 2006. Since my source material was official Suzuki's service document catalogue from 2006, I was able to fill the data up to 2006 model year.
  2. Names of service and wiring manuals for all "Santana" Jimny types (revisions). It appears that Santana's Jimnys they have their own documentation, because their VIN ranges (beginning with "VSE...") are nowhere mentioned in any of those Suzuki's documents which I have. Suzuki's documents deal only with VINs beginning with "JSA..." (made in Japan).

Any other contribution is also welcome.

lammurai,
I just replied to you via private message so we can discuss some of those documents.

I invite anyone else who knows or have any other documents not mentioned in my wiki article to contribute the information.

After 2006 all manuals are on line and have to be accessed through the Suzuki Service Portal for which you need to be a registered company. In Europe its the European Service Portal:
serviceportal.suzuki.eu/suzuki_thirdpart...F8D2357594889D4D601B

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

I guess this is what my local Suzuki dealer meant when he said he couldn't sell me a manual. This explains a lot.......it really sucks but explains a lot.

As always, thanks Rhinoman

I started out with nothing & still have most of it left

I tried to register at the portal but it does not recognise UK VAT numbers.

Its years since I registered but I do now recall that it was a bit of an effort. From what I recall Suzuki uses a search engine to look up the VAT number and your address and/or company name must match your registered details exactly. You can check your details here:

You may need to enter the number without the 'GB' at the front.

I put the VAT number in without the GB and double checked the actual company name as registered for VAT.

I.E. Limited rather than Ltd

The price of access is similar to the Mazda European Portal and I got access there with no issue.

You'll need to drop them an email, they were quite helpful when I was struggling. Did you check on VIES?

Yes, I did check on VIES and double checked spelling etc.

So, if I understood the situation with this Suzuki portal correctly, all service manuals after 2006 exist only as a system/set of web pages on this Suzuki portal?

So no PDF edition of post 2006 documentation anywhere?
