Docmartin4x4 wrote: Well It's called a lane as there is a 'track' that goes up to the wooded area, it was used a lot but the farmer closed it off a few years ago as he was fed up with people tramping across his field to the farm to ask him to pull them out with his tractor. I personally have not been back since it 're-opened' a few months ago, but apparently all above board as long as he does not get people 'tramping across his field' in the early hours to use his tractor.
We had plans to go up a week saturday to check it all out and see if it's 'legal and above board'.

If its private land and you have the land owners permission then it shouldnt be a problem, as long as your not being anti social.

JONESYBA420, I'm not anti social, i'm a Jimny ownwer!! I hear what everyone is saying but even the LR guys i go out with are very careful to the extent that a lot of the 'popular lanes we have used, we have not over the past few weeks because it is just to wet and would cause to much damage!!!

Wasnt insinuating u are buddy, anti social driving is a police matter and they can seize your vehicle whereas trespasing is a civil offence and is therefore upto the land owner to prosecute ;)

Why does it have to be jimny only? I've got a good mate (member on here) who has just sold his jimny and bought a jeep. I see no reason why he couldn't bring his jeep along if he wanted to?

I get fed up of this vehicle make snobbery. We are all after the same thing - a good day out on the tracks. Toyota, Suzuki, Nissan, Jeep, Landy, does it matter?

If its open to all trucks i'll have around 9 people coming with me (if trucks are fit and running) ranging from landrovers to pajeros and jeeps.

It would be good if it was for everyone.
