Jackonlyjack that answered a load of questions . I went with the ring ones as well and was in the shed tonight wondering where to locate them and how to wire them in.
I am thinking of taking the reverse light into the cab and hang them under the brake light on the rear door window. So when I engage revers my reverse light comes on but I also want to have a switch that turns on the reverse light with out having to engage reverse. ANY SUGGESTIONS GREATLY ACCEPTED .

I run these from a separate switch
Not good for reversing because of glare/reflection off window
You can over come this by making a surround that fits flush to the glass
I only use them as work lights as the ring reverse light on back door works from gear box

Ok here is how it went. Took the power from the driver side reverse lamp and extended it into the door and up and out the top of the back door at the brake light. Made a little bracket to hold the lamp against the door facing out. Spent a bit of time taking the reverse switch out and checking, turns out switch is working. Then look for my rubber neck attachment for inspecting the fuse box under the steering wheel. 4TH fuse down on left-hand side 10 A blown, replaced it and reverse lights are now working.
Light reflectiong into rear but not glaring . in effect an additional interior light .
I know you are saying why inside, just over the years I've damaged and destroyed so many spots, Im, just going to mind em now.
