What they have not allowed for here is for lift as this messes up the angle of the drop links.

That's easy but a wast of time ! The cv only has an angle capacity of 6 degrees before it reduces strength to 1/3.
A uj is much better suited. The cv was put on there for more civilised road use but useless once you ad a lift. And also the plunge doesn't give enough travel compared to the splined slip of a conventional prop.

The ideal ones are Toyota surf rear props shortened to fit, they have the same bolt patern they are wider angle and much stronger. They only need the register on the flanges increased by 1 mm and they are then bolt on.Obarno wrote: I have a spacer on my auto that allows the use of the Jimny std rear prop and so far it works fine. It does give a less harsh drive line, and on my car anyway, the prop is very nearly in line ie without large angles at either end. The ERM kit uses a new flange for the std Jimny rear prop to fit to and from the use/abuse I have seen them take it doesn't seem to be a problem in terms of breaking the cv joint. I suppose the ideal would be a double Cardan joint at the transfer box end. Better still would be a rear prop that used bigger ujs as the small Suzuki ones wear quickly with a low ratio transfer box.
