Its a pity you didn't say this a year ago knowing that lots of people were waiting on you to come up with shafts etc. For myself I gave up waiting and bought mine from ERM in France which incidentally Kirkynut are a direct replacement for the std ones. So an easy job to change them.

bluejimny wrote: ive shelved these for now as were too busy with general work and manufacturing parts we already sell as well as parts for other companies, we get asked far more for other parts than we do these kits as they are more of a specialist kit for the enthusiast compared to someone who wants to do some light greenlaning now and again

i expect it would be around 2 years before we even look at doing these kits again due to the amount of work load we have, and for 570 ish GBP thats a good price for the kit

Can you give us some details on the shafts and CVs? What material used? What are the CVs from? I read something about RS not making the CVs them selves.

Tell me more about the Erm ones mate. I've been in the website but it's not clear with some bits hard to.translate literally.

What do you get, shafts & CVs or just CVs and what do you have to send them exchange?

Cheers

Kirkynut

Hi Kirkynut - I bought shafts and cvs - they require your old cvs as they reuse the shaft in the new cv. Saves a bit of money I guess. When I ordered I sent them 2 cheques, one for the shafts and cvs, and one as a returnable deposit for the return of the original cv joints. They didn't cash the second cheque when I returned the original cvs , but of course you could send them your old cvs with the order. That would probably be simpler as you could just then send a money order or similar. Fortunately I have a French bank account so not a problem.
You would obviously need to know a shipping cost so an email in French (your friend Google translate) as I don't think they speak English.

Mmmm. I can do French. I did an A level in it but whereas I was good then, it was 18 years ago!

This looks like the way to go. I might just have to see where they are and if I can stop off when I go to le mans. Having said that, I could do with them before.

18 years ago - that's like yesterday! It was more like 48 years ago that I did my French exams!
