Hi There !
Received some roofbars today (for christmas) !
I've decided not to go for the 'light pod approach' as, like i've been told to consider, once they're on, they're on.So the roofbars are securely in place.. and i'm now looking for some independant lamps to mount across the bars.
I'm thinkin 'angel eyes'.
Can anybody suggest some PROS and CONS..?

Hope you all had a great Christmas!! - and all the best for 2011. :cheer:
Thankyou !

Gone for some simple, tasteful rectangular halogen jobs.
No worries. :)

I looked at the light pods and even considered getting a landy lightbar and chopping to fit.
I got some roof bars for £14 on ebay by chance - just looked at the right time.
I've put 4x55w spots mounted with exhaust clamps and a metal bracket, i tried using the front of the clamp but the spotlight brackets themselves are poor quality and i couldn't get a good tight fit. They sit just right now and far enough forward that i can put small loads on the roof still. All i've got left to do is to trim off some of the thread on the clamps and paint them so they're not so obvious and wire them up.

They're the same lights i got and from the same place. I looked around for ages and different options, i had some money in paypal and bought them. I know you get what you pay for so its not a major grumble but after 2 weeks the bolts holding the guards in place are rusty and the brackets were all wonky, nothing too much to moan about - its like they're liteforce or cibies.

Still to wire mine up, when i get 5 mins i'll get som pics though.

On second thoughts..
Having found out that i cant drill through the roofbars.. i may be interested.
I have a set of 40x20 roofbars which cannot be drilled through as they have a 'fastening rod' through the centre.
Could you possibly upload a pic or two, just so i can see if my home would be a good home for them to go to. (- i will happily pay for postage)
Thankyou :)

Update: These are my Roofbars. They sit fairly high.
They also make a horrendous WHURRING noise when driving at around 50mph.

Below is only 2 of my 4 lights, literally placed on the bars.
As said, I can't drill through the bars as the locking rod runs through it. So i need some brackets or clamps or something of that nature.
Any ideas on how to make some? - I would also (if possible) like to bring the lights further forward.

 So far, so good. I think.

Thanks all :)
