Got one! was created by doncarlyon
Picked up a Jimny from up near Edinburgh yesterday, will post some pics later...

Couple of little niggles that need sorting, wondering if anyone can help?

4L will select and works ok, but jumps out unless you hold it in place (which isnt ideal).

The guy i bought it off said it was due to the height (3" Rhino Rays and 2" body lift), said it needs a slight bend putting in the selector, anyone know anything about this?

Also, was considering taking the body lift off as i think a 3" lift will be enough anyway for what im gonna be doing. How easy/difficult is it to remove the body lift?

Cheers!

when i fitted the 2" body lift on mine i had to adjust the trans lever slightly so thats easy enough to solve

is it a proper body lift kit fitted or just some box section thats been fitted ???

it will be easy enough to remove depending on how long its been on as some of the body lift kits that are made with alloy blocks & steel sleeve bolts can be hard to get undone if they been on for a long time as they seem to weld themselfs together

easy way to keep body lift is add a further notch back at the back of the transfer lever opening as it allows it a little room and stops it knocking out of 4wd low dead easy to do just half inch extra will be fine

adam means if you keep the body lift on you can make the hole in the transmision tunnel that the lever comes through a bit bigger instead of slightly bending the lever

Yes - cut the floor, but a neater way is to get the lever bent. You will need access to someone with a gas welder. Heat the lever til it glows cherry red and bend it - simples.
