And...

We're taxed! Let's go 'laning! Errr.... one of these days :(

At least the tax is cheap(er) as it's a dead old Jimny! :woohoo:

At first in the MOT station, the Boogie was racing slightly...

Dave kindly hooked it up to a diagnostic panel -

And found the ECU thought the air intake temperature sensor  (sensor on the airbox) was showing the incoming air was at 27 degrees C ?!

This was causing the engine to run briskly to try and cool itself down (water pump and viscous fan?) so I've just ordered -

A new sensor which should be here Friday / Saturday (I did check the BigJimny shop first! ;) )

So that should fix that high tickover issue... and a bargain at a tenner...

Happy Days! B)

(I did wonder if the angle grinder sparks may have upset it when it was dangling in the engine bay?)

Just a new radator, cap, belts, plugs, etc to give the engine a bit of a makeover... :)

Congratulations and well done, that is great passing first time without advisories considering all the work done . I suppose it could be easy to miss/forget something?

Yes, I was nervous about having missed something simple / obvious, I was shocked when Dave said it had passed! :woohoo:
