Thanks ALL! :)

And, yes, I realise it's had a lot of reads - 27.5K at the time of writing - but just checking! You never know how many are search engine robots cataloguing the posts... Nice to know you're all still out there, reading and enjoying the build thread! ;)

Yes, this is my form of self-isolation, Wednesdays and Sundays generally out in the garage keeping me sane, tinkering with the Boogie...

So, today... I planned to finish the mirror guards off...

Fillets made up and welded in place... excuse the wandering welds! I struggle to see a bit with a welding mask on these days :( LOL

I then began sanding the welds back...

... until Mr. Angry bit back and sunk his teeth into my fleece! That took quite some untangling! :S

I got over the shock with a cup of tea, and carried on though...

Taking shape!

Test fit! With the mirror folded out...

And the mirror folded in... the guard is meant to protect the hinge bit for when those pesky trees step out into the T&S 'lanes and try and snatch your mirrors! (T&S = Tight and Scratchy ;) )

Mounting holes drilled (rivnuts in the door skin -- with thanks to JackOnlyJack) and awaiting paint (black smoothrite).

And then I knocked off early as a consignment of parts to make up some more breather kits arrived this morning... I had planned to wind ZookBOB down, but got mithered with requests for more breather kits... and seeing as no-one else seems to offer them at the moment, I'll relist some more later, after a nice hot shower (no beer involved!) ;)

Don't forget to fabricate a driving suit for your co-pilot before you take them to those T&S lanes!

Now you've started something. You are going to get so much fan mail you will never finish the buggy because you will be forever answering emails. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

All the parts from the wife's birthday present turned up...

New radiator, cap, belts, and two sheets of aluminium chequer plate...

Figured it would be wise to change both the belts whilst the radiator is off, and figured it might as well have a new cap too as that regulates the pressure around the coolant system and controls the over-heating expansion into the bottle next to the rad'. and as the Jimny is around twenty years old, I assume the radiator and cap were as well... So to keep the buggy as reliable as possible, I thought I'd swap them all out...

The chequer plate is destined to be the half door's doorcards, bent into the "step" of the door as per the cardboard template photos posted earlier this week...

Nearly forgot... the little plastic case sat on top of the radiator is full of more Dremmel attachments to cut the other front side indicator repeater hole in the side of the bonnet edge...

IISY? ;)
