I was actually a little surprised Soeley. I have done a 40 + deg incline in both my 40 series Land Cruiser and in a friends CJ. Never raised the front on those climbs. I would have thought weight distribution would have been similar.

Perhaps it is down to the short wheelbase of the Jimny. The longer wheel base, in effect makes the engine heavier due to it being further away from the back wheels? Just thinking of leavers and pivot points?
